The finish line is in sight! The competition remains fierce and our competitors are looking and feeling fabulous! Spring into Fitness with our May Fitness Challenge

Main Fitness’s May Fitness Challenge is on!

Join us for the May Fitness Challenge from May 1 – May 31st, 2017

Our challenge to you:  attend 30 classes in 31 days!

Get ready for some great Canadian outdoors living!  Not only will you feel and look great at the end of the challenge, you will also be eligible for other rewards throughout the month of May.  Contest closes on May 31st, 2017.

Prizes include:

  • Free monthly memberships
  • Free t-shirts and towels
  • Grand Prize of a free annual membership (valued at $960)
  • Plus many great prizes from our neighbouring business partners, such as The Therapy Studio, Liporase (Sophie), and more…

What do you have to lose?

How it Works:

  1. Enroll at the front desk or online at Main Fitness for the May Fitness Challenge.  Enrollment is now open.  
  2. Beginning May 1st, come to as many classes as possible. We will track your attendance for the month of May on the Challenge Board.
  3. At the end of each week, we will enter all names into a random draw for weekly prizes.  All Challengers are eligible for each weekly random draw. Weekly winners will be announced on the website and in the newsletter.
  4. At the contest end (May 31st), all Challengers who reached the goal of 30 classes in 31 days will be entered into a random draw for the Grand Prize.  The Grand Prize winner will be announced on the website and in the newsletter.

Cost:

  • Current annual members = no cost
  • Current 30 Day trail members and 5-pass members = $70 or $50 for students & seniors (65+; please show proof of age).
  • Current monthly members = $70 if renewing monthly membership between April 20th and May 21st, 2017; $50 for students & seniors ( (65+; please show proof of age).

Rules and Regulations:

  • All new and existing members are eligible to join the May Fitness Challenge.
  • All members who sign up for the Challenge, regardless if they attend classes, are eligible for the weekly random prize draws.  There will be 4 weekly draws, to occur within 2 days of May 7th, May 14th, May 21st, and May 28th. The weekly prizes eligible to be won will be announced on the site and in the weekly newsletter.
  • All members who attend a minimum of 30 classes between May 1st and May 31st 2017 are eligible for the Grand Prize random draw.
  • Grand Prize draw will occur within 1 week of contest close date (May 31st, 2017).
  • Monthly members – if enrolling in the challenge can get 1 month @ $70 + hst or $50 + hst for seniors & students.  This pricing is good for 1 month only.  For example, if you have just renewed your monthly membership, then your next month (ending May 21st) will be the Challenge price of either $70 or $50 and will be good for a 1 month duration.

Chest Opener and Back Bending Workshop – Jan. 22

Join Emily for her Chest Opener and Back Bending Workshop* on Sun., Jan. 22 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Members $20, Non-members $25.

*Whether you are a Beginner or Seasoned practitioner, this is a workshop is beneficial for everyone. Back bending is used in yoga not only to stretch and open the front body while toning and strengthening the back body, but also to restore energy. Back bending revitalizes the body and mind creating more energy in the body for better circulation, better posture, increased shoulder flexibility, and that’s just to name a few!
In this workshop, students will learn techniques to safely enter and exit back extensions with a better understanding than what is usually learned quickly in a standard yoga class. Modifications will be offered

RECESS is Here!

You asked for it; we have provided it. RECESS is here!

RECESS is a drop-in DIY circuit designed for you to come and do your own thing at your own pace.  Run in for a quick 30-minute workout or stay as long as you want for a more heavy-duty workout.  It’s up to you!

We have opened up the main gym and added some fun equipment to provide a variety of exercises;  from TRX to Balance Board to free weights; the possibilities are endless.

Choose your circuit from one of our pre-designed exercise guides or design your own workout.
